Camera Shy

Camera Shy is an American indie pop duo from Oakland, California, formed in 2014 by Nick Bassett and Alexandra Morte. Bassett, known for his work with shoegaze bands like Whirr and Nothing, partnered with Morte, formerly of Whirr, to create a distinct sound that diverges from their previous genres. Camera Shy's music veers into a sweeter, indie-pop realm, contrasting with the shoegaze background of its members. The duo released their debut EP, *Jack-O-Lantern*, in 2014, followed by the single "Crystal Clear" in 2015. Their self-titled debut album, *Camera Shy*, was released on July 14, 2015, under Run for Cover Records.
