Hunter Root

Hunter Root is a Pennsylvania-based multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter known for blending acoustic rock, folk, country, grunge, and 60’s psychedelic and surf rock influences into a distinct and emotionally rich sound. Originally from Fayetteville and raised in Lancaster, he began playing music at a young age alongside his older brother, who was a major influence on his songwriting. Hunter first gained experience and exposure as a founding member of the psychedelic rock band Medusa’s Disco before launching a successful solo career. His music often draws from deeply personal experiences, notably his 2023 album *Arkansas*, which he created in tribute to his late older brother and reflects on the places and memories tied to his youth spent in Arkansas.

Hunter Root’s songs, such as “Town Rat Heathen” and “Quicksand Sinking,” went viral on TikTok and Instagram in early 2023, earning him hundreds of thousands of followers and millions of streams on platforms like Spotify.
