Flo Sandon's

Flo Sandon's was an Italian pop singer who gained popularity in the mid-20th century, especially noted for her contributions to Italian music and cinema soundtracks. She rose to fame in the post-war era and is particularly remembered for her performance of "El Negro Zumbón" in the 1951 film Anna, although her singing was initially uncredited in the movie, which led to some confusion with actress Silvana Mangano. Sandon's had a clear, expressive voice that made her a standout in the traditional Italian song genre.

Over her career, she participated in several editions of the Sanremo Music Festival, including a notable appearance in 1962 with the song "Passa il tempo." She also recorded a variety of songs across genres, from romantic ballads to Neapolitan classics, with popular releases like “Non Dimenticar” and “Kalispera.” Her influence extended into mentoring as well—she was married to fellow singer Natalino Otto and played a role in the early career of soul artist Mina.
