Born in Kinshasa, Fabregas began his musical journey at a young age, influenced by the likes of Franco Luambo and Papa Wemba. He rose to prominence in the early 2000s as a member of the band Wenge Musica Maison Mère, before embarking on a successful solo career. Fabregas's music is characterized by its infectious rhythms, soulful vocals, and socially conscious lyrics, earning him a loyal following across Africa and beyond.
