Saxton's Cornet Band

Saxton's Cornet Band is a brass band that specializes in recreating the music of the American Civil War era. The band was founded in 1995 by John Saxton, a professional trumpet player and music educator. Saxton's Cornet Band has performed at numerous historical events and festivals, including the Gettysburg National Military Park and the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. The band has also released several recordings, including "Sounds from the Opera House," "Lincoln and Liberty, Too!," "1861 - 1865: Music Of The Civil War," and "You Naughty, Naughty Men."
