Venamoris

Venamoris is a musical project founded in 2021 by renowned drummer Dave Lombardo, best known for his work with Slayer and other bands, and his wife, Canadian-born singer/songwriter Paula Lombardo. Paula has a rich musical background, having spent a decade as a lead backup singer for Wayne Newton. Venamoris marks a departure from Dave's thrash metal roots, embracing a darker, more atmospheric sound that blends elements of dark prog and moody electronica, often drawing comparisons to artists like Chelsea Wolfe and Portishead. Their music is characterized by Paula's haunting vocals and Dave's restrained yet textural drumming.

Venamoris released their debut album, *Drown in Emotion*, in early 2023, featuring guest appearances from notable musicians like Tyler Bates and Ra Diaz. The project has continued to evolve with releases such as "The Gift" and "Holiday Spell," showcasing their ability to craft emotionally charged and sonically diverse music. Recent tracks like "Spiderweb" and "In the Shadows" further highlight their exploration of darker, moodier soundscapes. With Venamoris, the Lombardos have created a unique musical identity that explores the depths of emotional expression through music.
