Francesca Alotta

Francesca Alotta is an Italian pop singer born on October 15, 1969, in Palermo. She comes from a musical family, being the daughter of the renowned tenor Filippo Alotta. Francesca began her career in 1988 as part of the group Compilations before launching her solo career in 1991. That year, she won the Cantagiro with the song "Chiamata urgente." Her breakthrough came in 1992 when she won the "Newcomers" section of the Sanremo Music Festival with the duet "Non amarmi," performed alongside Aleandro Baldi. This song became an international hit, particularly after being translated into Spanish as "No Me Ames" by Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony.

Throughout her career, Francesca Alotta has released several albums, including her self-titled debut in 1992, "Io e te" in 1993, and "Buonanotte alla luna" in 1997. She has also participated in various TV shows and music festivals, showcasing her versatility and talent. In recent years, Francesca has continued to produce music, releasing albums like "Anima Mediterranea" in 2018 and more recent singles such as "Avanti a pugni chiusi" in 2023.
