Zdeněk Tylšar was a distinguished Czech French horn player renowned for his impeccable technique and the rich, warm timbre of his instrument. Born on June 5, 1945, in Hranice na Moravě, Czechoslovakia, he grew up in a musical environment that would eventually lead him to become one of the prominent horn soloists of his time. Tylšar studied at the Prague Conservatory and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, honing his skills and developing a deep understanding of the horn repertoire.
Throughout his illustrious career, Zdeněk Tylšar performed with leading orchestras and ensembles, showcasing his versatility across a spectrum of classical music styles. He was a long-time principal horn of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, a position that allowed him to collaborate with some of the world's top conductors and soloists.
