The Sleights

The Sleights are a punk rock band from Colorado Springs, Colorado, known for their raw, guitar-driven sound and emotionally honest lyrics, often tackling real-life issues like depression. Formed in 2014, the band's lineup solidified with vocalist/guitarist Luke Blanton, guitarist Adam Huscher, bassist Victor Carbonell, and drummer Todd Morrison, whose addition brought long-needed stability. They draw strong influences from ’90s punk bands such as The Lillingtons and Teenage Bottlerocket, and their music reflects that era’s energy and style. After years of developing their sound and lineup, The Sleights have gained momentum with strategic touring and solid releases, including their second full-length album *This One’s Gonna Hurt* in 2025, which features 12 tracks that deliver a focused and ferocious punk punch.

Luke Blanton, originally from northern Wisconsin and having spent time in Germany where his punk roots grew, has led the band with a business-minded approach—treating the band as a serious project from the start. Their releases like *It’s Not That Easy* (2021) and *Something Wasted This Way Comes* (2019), along with their latest album, showcase a band hitting their stride both in the studio and on stage. Their shows are known for being fast, fun, and energetic, capturing the spirit of punk rock’s straightforward and honest approach.
