Jerónimo Giménez, a Spanish composer and conductor, is best known for his contributions to the zarzuela, a genre of Spanish musical theater. Born in 1854, Giménez studied music at the Madrid Conservatory and later became a conductor at the Teatro Real. He composed over 50 zarzuelas, including the popular "El Húsar de la Guardia" and "El Barbero de Sevilla."
