Fufanu

Fufanu is an Icelandic experimental post-punk duo blending moody synths, hypnotic rhythms, and brooding vocals. Formed in Reykjavík by childhood friends Kaktus Einarsson and Guðlaugur Einarsson (no relation), they initially started as a techno project under the name Captain Fufanu before pivoting to their current gritty, motorik-inspired sound. Their 2015 debut *Adjust to the Light* and 2017 sophomore album *Sports* showcased their knack for merging icy electronic textures with wiry guitar work, earning them slots at festivals like Iceland Airwaves and SXSW. The band’s *Dialogue* EP series and *The Remix Series* highlight their collaborative spirit, often teaming up with visual artists and producers to expand their dystopian sonic universe.
