Franck Marcon is a versatile and accomplished French musician specializing in historically informed performances and contemporary music. After earning a history degree, he fully committed to music, studying organ and harpsichord at prestigious institutions such as the Conservatoire de Nice, Conservatoire de Paris, and the Haute École de Musique de Genève, where he received a concert master’s degree in 2005. Marcon is known for his precise and scholarly approach to early music and has a strong commitment to new music, with many contemporary works dedicated to him and his vocal ensemble, Polhymnia.
As a conductor and organist, he has led the Ensemble vocal Polhymnia since 2002, focusing on choral repertoire ranging from early to modern compositions. Under his direction, the ensemble has performed internationally, premiered new works by contemporary composers such as Jean-Louis Gand and Xavier Dayer, and recorded acclaimed albums, including *Une mystique de l'ombre*. Marcon also teaches baroque music performance practice at the Haute École de Musique in Geneva and Neuchâtel and regularly accompanies singers in major competitions. His latest releases include *Sacri musicali affetti*, showcasing his expertise in the sacred and baroque vocal repertoire.
