Irieix is the musical project of Lluís Margarit Vallcoba, a young Barcelona-based electro-singer-songwriter blending electro-pop, Latin rhythms, and a playful self-parody style often described as "Catalan sad-boyism." Emerging since 2020, Irieix has crafted a distinct space that rejects the traditional cantautor mold—eschewing the slow, acoustic singer-songwriter stereotype in favor of upbeat, rhythm-driven productions designed to energize live audiences. His music often explores themes of heartfelt emotion and personal introspection but wrapped in vibrant, danceable arrangements with bold beats and a party vibe.
