Sex Beat is a high-energy punk band from Berlin, Germany, formed in 2024 by seasoned musicians from various underground bands like Surf Nazis Must Die, Hall, UV Glaze, Noem, and Herpes. With members Gabor Gold, Florian Pühs, Rosa Merino Claros, and Jonas Reinhardt, they fuse raw punk and garage rock, delivering powerful 21-minute bursts of energetic, untamed sound that honor punk's legacy while keeping it alive and fiercely current. Their 2025 album *Crack* showcases their gritty, sweat-inducing style, built for wild, raw shows and an enthusiastic punk-loving audience.

This contemporary Sex Beat should not be confused with the earlier UK goth/post-punk act Sexbeat, who were key figures in the 1980s Batcave scene with the iconic 1984 track "Sexbeat." The modern German band embraces punk’s rebellious spirit with sharp social commentary woven into their music, expressing topics from global issues to personal tales with snarling vocals and adrenaline-pumped instrumentation.
