Noisia was a seminal Dutch electronic music trio renowned for their trailblazing work in the drum and bass genre. The group, composed of Nik Roos, Martijn van Sonderen, and Thijs de Vlieger, formed in 2003 in Groningen, The Netherlands, and quickly rose to prominence for their innovative sound design and expert production techniques. Noisia's name, taken from the word "VISION" inverted on an upside-down VHS tape, reflected their unique approach to music, often turning the world of electronic music on its head with their groundbreaking tracks.
Over the years, Noisia established themselves as giants within the electronic music scene, releasing a slew of influential records and collaborating with an array of artists across various genres. Albums like "Split the Atom" and "Outer Edges" were critical and commercial successes, cementing their reputation as pioneers of their craft. Alongside their music production, they also ran their own label, Vision Recordings, which released much of their music, including series like "The Resonance" and singles such as "Closer." Even as they ventured into projects like "Supersonic (My Existence)" in collaboration with artists like josh pan and Dylan Brady, Noisia remained true to their innovative roots, until they amicably decided to part ways in 2020, leaving behind a powerful legacy within the world of electronic music.
