University of Pennsylvania Shabbatones

The University of Pennsylvania Shabbatones are a dynamic, student-run Jewish a cappella group that’s been bringing a unique blend of popular American, Israeli, and Jewish music to audiences since their founding in 2001. Completely student-created and performed arrangements give this group a fresh, energetic sound that’s as diverse as its members—hailing from a range of academic backgrounds and Jewish traditions. The Shabbatones are well-known on campus and beyond, with regular performances at synagogues, schools, and community events throughout the Northeast, plus headlining tours across the U.S. and even international venues. From singing at the White House Chanukah Party to entertaining crowds at sports games and Disneyland, the Shabbatones unite through their passion for music and community, representing one of the largest and most active college Jewish communities in the nation.

With a catalog including releases like "From Philly With Love," "39th Street," and "One In A Minyan," the Shabbatones showcase their creativity in blending cultures and languages through a cappella music. Their performances are packed with personality, professionalism, and a genuine love for sharing music that celebrates both tradition and innovation.
