Caribou is the musical brainchild of Canadian electronic music composer, producer and performer Daniel Victor Snaith, who originally started recording under the moniker Manitoba before shifting to Caribou in 2004 due to a legal dispute over the name. Snaith's work as Caribou is recognized for its rich, emotive take on electronic music, seamlessly marrying elements of psychedelia, pop, and dance music with intricate songwriting and sound design. Holding a Ph.D. in mathematics, he infuses a sense of precision and complexity into his compositions, though they remain deeply accessible and resonant on an emotional level.

Snaith’s 2020 offering, "Suddenly," provided fans with a more introspective look, filled with sudden musical turns and personal lyricism, followed by an accompaniment of "Suddenly Remixes."
