Walter Norris

Walter Norris was a jazz pianist known for his lyrical and harmonically rich playing style. He had a long and varied career, playing both as a leader and sideman. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, and moved to California in the 1950s, where he became a part of the West Coast jazz scene.

Norris recorded extensively throughout his career, both solo and in ensembles. Some of his notable albums include "Drifting," "Winter Rose," and "Live At Maybeck Recital Hall, Vol. 4." He also recorded "The Last Set - Live at the A-Trane" late in his career. He was known for his interpretations of standards as well as his original compositions.
