Sonic Reducer

Sonic Reducer is a young, high-energy punk band based in Canberra, Australia, made up of four members: Cormac (vocals), Lachlan (drums), Ryleigh (guitar), and Louie (bass). Since forming, the group has quickly gained a reputation for their electrifying live shows, where loud guitars, driving drums, and shouty, vulnerable vocals keep audiences moshing. They’ve toured with well-known acts like Cosmic Psychos and Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, solidifying their place in the Australian punk scene.

Their sound is raw, honest, and unfiltered—a refreshing departure from much of the polished music currently dominating the charts. Sonic Reducer is also recognized for challenging toxic masculinity within the industry and bringing a dose of authenticity to the stage. With tracks like “ONE OF THE LADS,” “BETWEEN THE WIRE,” and their debut EP *SKEWBALL* (2024), the band has earned critical praise, airplay on Triple J, and nominations for independent music awards. Their loyal fan base continues to grow as they keep pushing the punk genre forward.
