Vadym Kholodenko

Vadym Kholodenko is a Ukrainian classical pianist who came to wide international attention after winning First Prize at the 2013 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Known for a mix of powerhouse technique and thoughtful musicianship, he’s built a reputation as a versatile interpreter across the core Romantic and 20th‑century repertoire.

Since that breakthrough, Kholodenko has appeared with major orchestras and conductors and has released recordings spanning everything from Beethoven and Mozart to Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, and large-scale virtuoso works—often showing an affinity for both big dramatic statements and finely detailed, color-driven playing.
