Fruupp was a progressive rock band hailing from Northern Ireland that carved a niche for themselves in the 1970s with their unique blend of melodic rock, classical influences, and theatrical flair. Formed in 1971 by guitarist Vincent McCusker, the group was rounded out by Peter Farrelly on bass and vocals, Stephen Houston on keyboards and oboe, and Martin Foye on drums. Their sound was characterized by intricate arrangements, sweeping keyboards, and poetic lyrics that often ventured into the realm of fantasy and mythology.

Between 1973 and 1975, Fruupp released four studio albums that showcased their evolution as a band and their ambition to leave an indelible mark on the progressive rock genre. Their debut, "Future Legends," set the tone with its imaginative storytelling and complex compositions. They followed this with "Seven Secrets" in 1974, which continued to build their reputation for crafting sophisticated and layered tracks. Later the same year, they released "The Prince of Heaven's Eyes," a concept album that many fans regard as their creative apex. Their final album, "Modern Masquerades," which was produced by Queen's producer Roy Thomas Baker, featured more polished production and was released in 1975. Despite critical acclaim, commercial success eluded Fruupp, and the band disbanded in 1976, leaving behind a legacy cherished by connoisseurs of the era’s progressive rock scene.
