Animal Collective

Animal Collective is an American experimental pop band formed in Baltimore, Maryland in 2000. The group's lineup consists of Avey Tare (David Portner), Panda Bear (Noah Lennox), Deakin (Josh Dibb), and Geologist (Brian Weitz), who are known for their eclectic sound and blending of various genres including psychedelia, art pop, electronica, and avant-garde music. Each member of the collective is involved in various solo and collaborative projects, bringing a unique meld of influences back to the group's unified output.

Over the years, Animal Collective has garnered critical acclaim for their innovative approach to music production and their immersive live performances. Their sound is characterized by an ethos of experimentation, using a range of unconventional instruments and techniques to create deeply textured sonic tapestries. While their discography is thematically and sonically varied, some of their most revered albums include "Merriweather Post Pavilion," "Feels," and "Strawberry Jam." Recently, the band has continued to push boundaries with newer releases such as a soundtrack for the film "The Inspection" and a remastered version of their 2000 debut album, "Spirit They're Gone, Spirit They've Vanished." Their ability to adapt and evolve has solidified Animal Collective's status as luminaries in the contemporary music scene.
