**El Avram Group** is the band led by Avram Grobard, a talented singer and accordion player who brought his Israeli vibes to New York after working as an entertainer back home. In the late 1960s, he opened the iconic El Avram nightclub in Greenwich Village, turning it into a hotspot for Israeli music, food, belly dancers, and big-name guests like Louis Armstrong—right around the Six-Day War era, capturing that special energy.

The group dropped fun albums packed with popular Israeli hits, like *Any Time of the Year: Bashana Haba'ah and Other Israeli Hits* (1968), *Salute to Israel* (1975), and *Israeli Popular Hits* (1995), featuring tracks such as "Bashana Haba'ah," "Yass," and "Hallelujah." Grobard and his backing band kept the Mediterranean spirit alive through lively performances blending folk, pop, and traditional sounds that made fans feel right at home.
