da Googie is the solo project of Deb Googe, best known as the bassist for the legendary shoegaze band My Bloody Valentine. With a rich musical history that includes playing with Thurston Moore Group, Brix Smith, and briefly with Primal Scream, Deb launched da Googie to explore her own artistic vision. Her music blends traditional bass lines with abstract noises, field recordings, and layered soundscapes, creating a unique sonic experience. Her debut full-length album, *The Golden Thread*, released in March 2025, is a collaboration with pianist Cara Tivey and showcases a bass-driven sound interwoven with delicate piano and deeply meaningful lyrics.

Performing solo, often with just a six-string bass and electronic loops, da Googie offers a captivating mix of drone, neo-industrial rhythms, and textured arrangements that highlight Deb’s evolution from a revered bassist in influential bands to a compelling solo artist in her own right.
