The Sundays

The Sundays were a dreamy British indie pop band that found their way into the hearts of music lovers in the late '80s and '90s. Formed in 1988 by Harriet Wheeler and David Gavurin while at university in Bristol, the band's sound quickly became synonymous with Wheeler's ethereal voice and Gavurin's jangly guitar. Their debut album, "Reading, Writing and Arithmetic," released in 1990, took the UK by storm with its melodic charm and thoughtful lyrics, gaining them a dedicated following.

Following up with "Blind" in 1992 and "Static & Silence" in 1997, The Sundays continued to capture the essence of melancholy and beauty in their music, making them a staple in the indie scene. Though the band has been on a long hiatus since their last album, their legacy lives on as tracks like "Here's Where the Story Ends" and "Summertime" remain timeless favorites for fans old and new.
