Silos is an American indie rock band formed in 1980 in Decatur, Georgia. The band's core members are Walter Salas-Humara (vocals, guitar), Bob Rupe (bass), and John Convertino (drums). Silos' music is characterized by its jangly guitars, catchy melodies, and introspective lyrics. The band has released a number of critically acclaimed albums, including "Cuba" (1984), "The Silos" (1986), and "Sojourner" (1994). Silos has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, and has shared the stage with such notable acts as R.E.M., The Replacements, and The dB's.
