Soda Shop

Soda Shop is a music duo formed in Brooklyn, New York, in 2011. The group consists of members Maria Usbeck, known for her work in Selebrities, and Drew Diver from Horse Shoes. They came together after meeting at an Embassy concert, sharing a love for Swedish indie pop. Soda Shop's sound blends sugar-sweet pop hooks with moody reverb, often drawing comparisons to Phil Spector-influenced groups. Their music often features Usbeck's melancholic lead vocals, creating a dreamy and girl group-inspired sound. They released their debut single "Farewell" on Shelflife Records in January 2011, gaining recognition in the indie pop scene. Over time, they have continued to release tracks like "Wistful Past" and "Keep Swimming," which have contributed to their unique musical identity.
