Bestial Warlust

Bestial Warlust is a notorious name in the underground extreme metal scene, renowned for their raw and unrelenting brand of blackened death metal. Formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1993, the band emerged from the ashes of a previous project known as Corpse Molestation, with bassist and vocalist Damon Bloodstorm at the forefront. Their music is characterized by a ferocious blend of high-speed riffing, blast beat drumming, and guttural vocal delivery, encapsulated in a chaotic soundscape that borrows heavily from both the black and death metal genres.

Following their formation, Bestial Warlust quickly established a cult following with their intense live performances and a series of fierce recordings. "Vengeance War 'Till Death," their debut full-length album released in 1994, cemented their reputation for unyielding aggression and no-frills extremity. This was followed by "Blood & Valour" in 1995, which further refined their uncompromising sound. Though they disbanded in the late 1990s, the group's legacy lived on, and they briefly reformed to perform live shows in the mid-2000s. The 2017 release "Storming Bestial Legions Live '96" captures the raw energy of the band's live set during their peak, offering a glimpse into the savagery of their performances and securing their place in the annals of extreme metal history. Despite their relatively short initial run and sparse discography, Bestial Warlust's influence reverberates through the extreme metal scene, embodying the spirit of relentless musical brutality.
