Fear Before The March Of Flames

Fear Before The March Of Flames, often abbreviated as Fear Before, is an experimental post-hardcore band hailing from Aurora, Colorado, formed in 2002. Blending intricate guitar work with complex rhythms and a blend of screamed and clean vocals, the band quickly set themselves apart in the hardcore scene. With their early work such as "Odd How People Shake" (2003) and "Art Damage" (2004), they started to build a following through their intense and chaotic music coupled with impassioned live performances.

As they evolved, their music became increasingly experimental and avant-garde, particularly with the release of "The Always Open Mouth" in 2006. This album marked a significant departure from their earlier sound, incorporating elements of ambient, noise rock, and progressive rock. Following this, the band's self-titled album "Fear Before" arrived in 2008, which continued the trend of sonic experimentation. Although the band has been on hiatus since around 2010, their legacy endures, kept alive by a dedicated fan base and the lingering impact of their innovative approach to music within the post-hardcore genre. They also released "A Little Less Teeth," an EP, in 2007, which features B-sides and remixes that further showcase the band's willingness to challenge the boundaries of their sound.
