Richard Norris

Richard Norris is a British electronic music veteran whose career spans decades of boundary-pushing sounds. Best known as half of 1990s dance duo The Grid (of "Swamp Thing" fame) and psychedelic remix project Beyond the Wizard's Sleeve with Erol Alkan, he's become a cult figure in ambient and experimental circles. Recent years have seen him channeling meditative vibes through his monthly ambient releases like "October," "November," and "December," while still delivering club-ready dub excursions like "Pagan Dub" and "Regal Dub." His work with artists like Joe Goddard and his ongoing "Oracle Sound" series showcase a musician constantly balancing dancefloor energy with headphone-friendly textures. When not crafting music, Norris literally wrote the book on psychedelia - his 2020 publication "Strange Things Are Happening" chronicles the cultural history of mind-expansion.
