Future Of The Left

Future of the Left is a noise rock band from Cardiff, Wales, formed in 2005 following the dissolution of two influential UK bands, Mclusky and Jarcrew. The band’s sound is a raucous blend of punk aggression, sharp wit, and off-kilter rhythms, often anchored by driving bass lines, caustic guitar riffs, and frontman Andy Falkous’s unmistakable vocal snarl. Known for their fierce live performances and biting, often satirical lyrics, Future of the Left quickly earned a cult following.

Their discography includes standout records like Travels with Myself and Another (2009), The Plot Against Common Sense (2012), and How to Stop Your Brain in an Accident (2013), each showcasing their evolution in sound and continued disdain for musical complacency. With relentless energy and a deep streak of dark humor, Future of the Left have maintained a reputation as one of the UK’s most fiercely intelligent and sonically uncompromising alternative rock bands.
