His recordings, including *Telemann: 12 Fantasias for Oboe Solo* and the original composition *Wotan II*, showcase his dual passion for Baroque craftsmanship and modern experimentation. A longtime professor at the Bern University of the Arts, Arter has also championed new music through collaborations and premieres, while archival releases like the 1987 conservatorium concert highlight his enduring ties to academic and performance communities.
