Finch

Finch is an American post-hardcore band originating from Temecula, California, initially formed in 1999. The band enjoyed early success in the early 2000s with their debut album "What It Is To Burn," released in 2002. This album became emblematic of the post-hardcore and emo scenes of the time, propelled by the success of the title track and the single "Letters to You." The band's complex guitar work, dynamic shifts, and emotionally charged lyrics helped them stand out and capture a dedicated fanbase.

Following their acclaimed debut, Finch released "Say Hello to Sunshine" in 2005, showcasing a more experimental and aggressive approach to their music. However, despite a strong following, the band experienced internal struggles and periods of hiatus. They eventually reconvened and released "Back to Oblivion" in 2014, showing a matured sound and reflecting their journey as a band. The significance of their earlier work was commemorated with "What It Is To Burn - X," a live album celebrating the tenth anniversary of their debut with a performance of the album in its entirety. Amidst changing tastes and an evolving scene, Finch has remained a nostalgic touchstone for fans of the post-hardcore genre.
