Flagship

**Flagship** is an American rock band from Charlotte, North Carolina, formed in 2011. The group consists of Drake Margolnick (vocals, guitar), Michael Finster (drums), Matthew Padget (lead guitar, backing vocals), Chris Comfort (bass guitar), and Grant Harding (keyboards, synths). Flagship emerged from the collaboration between solo artist Drake Margolnick and local musicians, including those from the earlier band Campbell. Their music is characterized by a blend of atmospheric textures and energetic performances, often described as alternative rock. The band has released several albums, including their self-titled debut in 2013 and "The Electric Man" in 2016, and has toured with notable bands like The Wombats.

The band's formation was a result of a chance encounter at a music festival where Margolnick and his friends from Campbell backed up one of his performances, discovering strong musical chemistry. They have built a reputation for their dynamic live shows and have been praised for their "power and emotion" along with a "dreamlike quality" in their songs. Flagship has continued to evolve, releasing new material and maintaining a strong presence in the indie rock scene.
