Motion Sickness Of Time Travel is the solo ambient and experimental drone project of Rachel Evans, based in Georgia. Known for her immersive and atmospheric soundscapes, Evans combines analog and digital synths with guitars, piano, and her own layered vocals—often improvising to create slow crescendos and subtle rhythms that blend into a cohesive, hypnotic whole. Since launching in the late 2000s, she has released dozens of albums and cassettes, gaining critical praise for works like her self-titled 2012 double album on Spectrum Spools, which Pitchfork and FACT highlighted for its elegant, meditative synth patterns.

Apart from her solo work, Rachel collaborates with her husband Grant Evans in the duo Quiet Evenings, running labels such as Hooker Vision and Adversary Electronics. Her music often draws comparisons to Cluster and Emeralds, with a distinctive style that merges slow-moving, dreamlike textures and ghostly vocal phrasings.
