Peter Ivers

Peter Ivers was an eclectic musician, songwriter, and television personality known for his boundary-pushing work in the late 20th century. A skilled harmonica player and composer, he blended rock, jazz, and avant-garde influences into his music. He released several albums throughout the 1970s, including *Terminal Love* and a self-titled record, and is perhaps best remembered for writing "In Heaven (Lady in the Radiator Song)" for David Lynch's cult classic *Eraserhead*. Beyond music, Ivers became the charismatic host of *New Wave Theatre*, a pioneering program that spotlighted emerging punk and new wave acts in the early 1980s. His tragic and mysterious death in 1983 only added to his enigmatic legacy, but his influence continues to resonate in underground music and alternative culture.
