Charlotte Martin

**Charlotte Martin** is an American singer-songwriter and pianist whose music blends classical training with lush, emotionally charged alternative pop. Born in Charleston, Illinois, she studied opera at Millikin University before pivoting to a solo career marked by haunting vocals and intricate piano work. Since her early-2000s debut, Charlotte has carved a niche with her cinematic soundscapes, introspective lyrics, and a DIY ethos, releasing music both through major labels and independently via her own Test Drive Records.

Known for her raw live performances and ethereal studio craft, she’s built a loyal fanbase through albums like *On Your Shore* and EPs such as *Veins*, while recent releases like *Mercury*, *International Space Station (A Love Story)*, and *Dawn* showcase her continued evolution—mixing vulnerability with experimental electronic touches. Whether she’s crafting heart-wrenching ballads or soaring anthems, Charlotte’s music feels like a conversation with a close friend, balancing darkness and hope in every note.
