Locus Noir

Locus Noir is the fresh gothic metal project from Swiss singer **Ben DMN** (aka Benjamin Nominet or Ben Diam), who's best known as the frontman of the industrial/groove metal powerhouse Sybreed. Starting as Ben's solo outlet to dive back into the '90s gothic rock and metal that shaped his early days—like Type O Negative gloom, Fields of the Nephilim mysticism, and Paradise Lost melancholy—it quickly grew into a full band with guitarist **Claire Genoud**, bassist **Ales**, and drummer **Ben Marmier**.

Their debut album **Shadow Sun** dropped in 2026 via Listenable Records, blending haunting melodic vocals (think Peter Murphy theatrics meets Depeche Mode depth and Peter Steele echoes) with darkwave keys, post-punk edges, and themes of love, death, lust, decay, and those epic after-dawn parties. Standouts include singles like **Cemetery Youth** (feat. Ben Christo of Sisters of Mercy on guitar and backing vocals), the doom-y **Hollow**, and a wild Lady Gaga "Marry the Night" cover as a bonus track—pure late-night vibes for goth fans.
