I Musicanti

I Musicanti is a respected UK-based mixed instrument chamber ensemble known for its artistic freedom and imaginative programming. The group comprises some of the most experienced and acclaimed musicians in the UK, hand-picked by their artistic director Leon Bosch, a renowned double bass virtuoso. I Musicanti specializes in presenting distinctive programs that often feature rediscovered or overlooked works by both lesser-known and famous composers. Their flexible instrumentation allows them to perform a wide range of chamber music, from small string groups to larger ensembles, including ambitious projects like recording the symphonies of lesser-known composers. They have released notable recordings such as the Giovanni Bottesini string quintets and have been featured on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune, reflecting their high-quality artistry and innovative spirit.
