Skunk Anansie

Skunk Anansie is an iconic British rock band, renowned for their electrifying fusion of heavy rock music with elements of punk, reggae, and electronic genres, as well as for the charismatic and powerful lead vocals of Skin (Deborah Anne Dyer). Originally formed in 1994, the band quickly earned critical acclaim and a devoted fan base thanks to their thought-provoking lyrics, which often delved into themes of politics, social issues, and personal empowerment. Alongside Skin, the band features Martin "Ace" Kent on guitar, Richard "Cass" Lewis on bass, and Mark Richardson on drums, who replaced original drummer Robbie France.

The band initially enjoyed a streak of success during the 90s with hits like "Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good)" and "Charlie Big Potato," before going on hiatus in 2001. They reunited in 2009 and have since continued to impress both old and new fans with their dynamic performances and new material. Over the years, Skunk Anansie has released a series of impactful albums that have left an indelible mark on the rock scene. Notably, in 2019 they celebrated their 25th anniversary with the release of "25LIVE@25," a live album showcasing their vibrant live presence. With their recent releases such as "What You Do for Love" and "This Means War," they have proven their enduring relevance and ability to craft compelling music that resonates with the current generation.
