New Bomb Turks
New Bomb Turks are a high-energy punk rock band from Columbus, Ohio, known for ripping, Ramones-inspired riffs, snarling vocals, and a loud, fast, no-frills approach that helped define a big chunk of ’90s American punk. They formed in the early 1990s and quickly built a reputation for chaotic, sweat-drenched live shows, pairing garage-punk grit with hardcore speed.
They broke through in underground punk circles with releases on labels like Crypt Records and later Epitaph, putting out albums such as *Destroy-Oh-Boy!!* (1993), *Scared Straight* (1995), and *At Rope’s End* (1998). After a long stretch of cult favorite status and intermittent activity, they returned with *Nightmare Scenario* in 2024, proving they can still deliver the same snotty bite and runaway-train momentum that made them a staple for punk fans in the first place.
