**Domhain** is a **post-black metal quartet from Belfast, Northern Ireland**, formed in 2021 by four experienced musicians from the Irish metal scene. The band—consisting of Andy Ennis (vocals and bass guitar), Anaïs Chareyre-Méjan (drums, vocals, and cello), Nathan Irvine (lead guitar and piano), and Bryn Mills (guitar and backing vocals)—crafts an emotional blend of post-black metal, blackgaze, and atmospheric black metal, anchored by distinctive dual vocal harmonies and prominent cello work. Their sound draws inspiration from classic atmospheric metal acts, with long-form compositions steeped in mythology and remembrance.
Domhain released their debut EP "Nimue" in October 2023, featuring three expansive tracks that showcase the band's ethereal yet heavy approach to extreme metal. They followed this with the split EP "Of Pine and Oak" (May 2025) alongside labelmates Ephemeral, described as "an ode to nature." Their full-length debut "In Perfect Stillness" arrived in February 2026, featuring guest appearances from Sarah Fielding (Darkest Era), pianist John Wilson, and cellist Raul Andueza. The band's live performances have earned critical acclaim, with Kerrang! praising their Fortress Festival 2024 set as "something bracingly original" and noting they "already have the material to become giants of the genre."
