Jefre Cantu-Ledesma is an American multi-instrumentalist, composer, and record producer whose experimental and genre-blending approach has carved out a distinctive space in the realm of ambient, drone, and shoegaze music. With a career that started in the late 1990s, Cantu-Ledesma co-founded the seminal San Francisco-based music collective Tarentel and was involved with the influential music label Root Strata, which he ran for a decade.
