Drift

Drift music is an ambient subgenre characterized by its gentle ebb and flow that evokes a sense of serene, almost dreamlike contemplation. It encompasses delicate textural soundscapes, where minimal melodies dissolve into ethereal washes of sound, creating a soothing and introspective auditory experience. Each artist, while unique in their approach, contributes to the genre's overarching themes of spaciousness and tranquility. Drift often uses subtle electronic manipulations, field recordings, and soft, repetitive motifs to lull the listener into a meditative state. With a focus on creating immersive atmospheres rather than driving rhythms or prominent hooks, drift stands as a refuge for those seeking solace from the overstimulation of the modern world.
