FM Down

**FM Down** is a Midwestern post-hardcore/emo outfit that's been channeling raw emotion into cathartic bangers since forming in 2017. Fronted by Jake Warren’s impassioned vocals and anchored by Emma Reyes’ razor-sharp guitar work, the band (rounded out by bassist Tyler Morris and drummer Sam Kim) built a grassroots following through relentless DIY touring and self-released EPs. Their music blends confessional lyrics about mental health struggles and existential angst with dynamic shifts from whisper-quiet introspection to volcanic crescendos. After their breakout 2022 album *...We Called It a Scene* caught fire in the underground scene, they’ve shared stages with genre heavyweights like The Used and Silverstein. Recent tracks like “Miserable” and “Bad Design” showcase their evolution toward moodier, textured soundscapes while maintaining the urgent vulnerability that’s become their signature. Known for turning basement shows into collective therapy sessions, FM Down keeps it real with fans through hilariously unpolished tour vlogs and a “no skips” approach to emotional oversharing in their music.
