Forlorn Hope

Forlorn Hope is a heavy metal band from Merseyside, known for blending history with metal to create epic musical experiences. Described as "a musical version of Bernard Cornwell's 'Sharpe' novels," they bring to life dramatic stories from military history through punchy, hook-filled metal and meticulously researched lyrics. Their sound combines high-octane riffs and majestic keyboards, capturing the excitement and intensity of historical tales. The band's lineup includes Chris Simpson on vocals and guitar, Alexander Bishop on lead guitar and composition, and John Roughley on bass, with Danny Kelly contributing as a part-time drummer.

Forlorn Hope has released several notable works, including their self-titled EP, the album "Over the Hills," and more recently, the EP "Valour Part 1." This latest release is part of a larger project, "Valour," which tells the stories of fifteen Victoria Cross-winning actions from the Crimean War to World War II.
