Furlo

Furlo is a five-piece power-pop band from County Derry, Ireland, originally formed in 2006 or 2007 (sources differ on the exact year) by vocalist and guitarist Jonny Everett, bassist Ruairi Connolly, and others including Stephen, Ravi Sharma (percussion), and later keyboardist Gavin McGee. The band's name was inspired by the word "furlough," a term for a temporary layoff, reflecting their playful approach—members have joked that other potential names didn't make the cut. Furlo developed their sound by writing original material together and later embraced a bigger, synth-driven direction after adding keyboards to their lineup. They have released tracks such as "Now Is Always," "Drink With Your Friends," "Lo Hi," "Your Entire Glows," "Signature," and "Concussed Girls." Furlo signed with local label yogen records to further develop their presence and musical output.

Despite sharing the same name as other artists, the Furlo featured here is clearly the Irish power-pop group known for their energetic live shows and catchy, synth-infused tracks. Their story is one of friends jamming together, evolving over time, and building a loyal following with their genre-blending, self-written songs.
