Vesna Djokovic

Vesna Djokovic is a folk singer known for her contributions to traditional Serbian music. She comes from a musical family; her father, Časlav Đoković, was a prolific composer of folk music, and her mother, Živka Đoković, was an accomplished singer of dvojkaške ćirilice. Vesna has been active in the music scene since the early 1980s, initially performing with the group "Jeličanke" and later releasing her own albums, such as "Kraljica Snova" (1986) and "Za Nas Dvoje" (1990). Her career spans numerous genres, having started with contemporary and international schlagers but focusing primarily on folk music. Despite her extensive discography and performances at various festivals, Vesna remains humble and unenthusiastic about media spotlight. Her daughters, who are also musically inclined, follow in her footsteps by mastering traditional Serbian music, including sevdah. Recent releases and collaborations, such as those listed under her name on music platforms, continue to showcase her enduring presence in the music industry.
