Pietro Domenico Paradisi was an Italian composer, harpsichordist, and music teacher born in Naples in 1707. He studied music at the Conservatorio di Sant'Onofrio a Capuana and later became a successful harpsichord virtuoso, performing throughout Europe. Paradisi is best known for his numerous harpsichord sonatas, which are characterized by their melodic beauty, technical brilliance, and expressive range. He also composed operas, concertos, and sacred music. Paradisi died in Venice in 1791, leaving behind a significant legacy as one of the most important composers of the late Baroque period.
