Fraxinus

Fraxinus is a musical project named after the Latin word for the ash genus. It is led by Cameron Leaf, a Devon-born but Netherlands-based DJ, producer, and composer. Before adopting the Fraxinus moniker, Leaf was part of the Her Records crew. He made a name for himself with the "All Ends" 12” release in 2014 and contributed to compilations for Her Records and Astral Plane Recordings. After a four-year hiatus, Fraxinus returned to the music scene, focusing on weighty techno. Recently, Fraxinus launched a new label called Powerplant, marking a fresh chapter in his musical journey. His recent releases include "Powerplant Blue" and other visually themed EPs, continuing his exploration of electronic music.

Fraxinus's music often features high-impact, atmospheric tracks that have resonated within the techno scene. His background in music production began at a young age, influenced by workshops and early experiences with synthesizers. Now, Fraxinus is recognized for his experimental electronic style, blending Dutch and experimental elements. His work continues to evolve, embracing the darker, more profound aspects of techno while pushing the boundaries of electronic music.
